Sunsuper Dreams is all about doing something positive for the community in a really meaningful way. So if you have a dream that can help make the world a better place, send it in.
To qualify, your dream project must be able to be undertaken in the next six months and must do something good for the community. No self-centred dreams. No inappropriate content or language. And no dreams you've had when you've been asleep! We're talking about the dreams you have with your eyes wide open.
Each month we'll be awarding a $5,000 grant to the nominated recipient of the dream voted most popular on this website.
So, what are you waiting for? Here are a few tips for entering...
1Give your dream a name
Just a short title that tells everyone what your dream is about e.g. "Helping the homeless", "Giving hope to sick kids", etc.
2Choose a category for your dreams
Select one of the categories from our drop-down list on the entry form:
- A Local Issue
- A Social Issue
- Arts & Culture
- Education
- Environment
- Community Health
- Sports
- Other
3 Nominate a recipient
The proceeds from the winning Sunsuper Dreams submissions are required to be distributed to the recipient of the grant on the submitter's behalf. This is why all dream submissions need to include a nominated organisation or individual that will benefit from the $5,000 grant.
4Tell us about your dream
Give us a brief description of how your dream would help make the world a better place and what you would use the $5,000 grant for. We are looking for ideas from individuals that can make a positive impact in the community and will be undertaken in the next six months.
5Upload an image or video
It's a good idea to upload a photo, drawing or video to support your dream. You can upload photos or drawings directly from your desktop. But if you want to add a video, you'll need to upload it to YouTube first. It's easy to do – just go to www.youtube.com and follow the instructions. Then come back to your entry form and enter the link to your video. Supporting photos need to be under 500kb.
6 What happens next?
All dreams, photos and videos are checked to make sure they fit the guidelines for this competition. You will receive an email and your dream will be displayed on our Vote for a dream page. This is where other people can view and vote for it.
7 Get your friends to vote
The winning dream will be the one with the most votes at the end of the round. So make sure you get all your friends and family to improve your chances of winning by visiting our Vote for a dream page and voting.
8Remember to check back before the month is out
Once the winner for the month is announced all of the dreams will be removed from the site in preparation for the next month's dreams. So if you want to know how many people liked your dream check back before the end of the month.
