What is Sunsuper Dreams?

Sunsuper Dreams is all about doing something positive for the community in a really meaningful way. This Sunsuper initiative gives individuals, groups and organisations the opportunity to be awarded a $5,000 grant to help realise a dream for a better world.

How does it work?

We offer individuals, groups and organisations the opportunity to nominate a recipient to be awarded a $5,000 grant through the posting of a dream for a better world on sunsuperdreams.com.au. Each dream will then be voted for by visitors to the website by clicking on the 'vote' prompt and entering their email address. Voters will then be sent an email to that email address to validate their vote. The nominated recipient of the dream with the most votes at the end of each round of voting will be awarded a $5,000 grant.

What is the bonus Australia Day Grant?

To celebrate Australia Day, for Round 11 Sunsuper will be awarding an extra grant to a dream of their choosing that benefits an Australian charity, organisation or cause. This decision will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter. For this round, two $5,000 grants will be awarded, one to the dream with the highest number of votes, and the other awarded to a dream to be carried out within Australia.

What kind of dreams qualify?

Dreams that make the world a better place by making a positive impact in the community will qualify. The dream project must also be able to be undertaken within six months of winning.

How are the votes counted?

Visitors to sunsuperdreams.com.au can vote for dreams that they find the most worthy by clicking on the 'vote' button beside the dream of their choice. The voter will then need to validate their vote from their email account. The dream with the most votes at the end of each round will be our winner. Each person may vote for each dream only once, but can vote for as many dreams as they wish.

Who can submit a dream?

Both Sunsuper members and non-Sunsuper members who are permanent residents of Australia aged 18 years or older as at August 1, 2011, can enter.

What do I need to submit a dream?

You will need to complete the online entry form about your dream, including its title, description and why you want your dream to be funded. This information will also be used to determine if your dream is appropriate (e.g. positive impact in the community) for the Sunsuper Dream initiative.

Why do I need to list a nominee organisation or individual?

The proceeds from the winning Sunsuper Dreams submissions are required to be distributed to an organisation or individual on the submitter's behalf. This is why all dream submissions need to include the nominated organisation or individual that will benefit from the $5,000 grant.

When can I submit my dream?

All rounds begin on the first of the month at 12:00:01 a.m. AEST and end at 4:59:59 p.m. AEST on the last day of each month.

Can dreams be edited after submission?

No, you cannot edit a dream after it has been submitted.

How do I know if my dream has been accepted?

You will receive a confirmation email.

If my dream is not accepted can I submit another dream?

Yes, if you have received an email stating that your dream does not meet the guidelines for the Sunsuper Dreams initiative (e.g. positive impact in the community) you may submit another dream for possible inclusion.

Can anyone vote for a dream?

Yes. Anyone with a valid email address can vote, you will just need to validate your email address for your vote to register. You are not required to be in Australia to vote. Each person may vote for as many dreams as they wish, however you can only vote for a dream once.

How do I get my dream featured on the Sunsuper Dreams homepage?

How will I know if I am this month's winner?

Winners will be notified by email and the winner's name and dream will be posted on the sunsuperdreams.com.au website at the beginning of each month, after the previous round's voting period has ended.

What is the Sunsuper Choice grant?

The Sunsuper Choice grant has been introduced due to the overwhelming number of dreams we have received to date.
